Petroleum Coke

Green and calcined petroleum coke for cement, power, calcining and aluminium buyers — sourced through our producer and refiner network and delivered FOB, CFR or CIF to main Asian ports.

01 — Product

Grades we supply

Petroleum coke is not a single product. We work to the grade the buyer’s process actually requires, and we say so plainly when a cargo will not meet it.

Fuel grade (green petroleum coke)

High- and mid-sulphur green coke for cement and lime kilns, captive power, industrial boilers and gasification. Traded on calorific value, sulphur and grindability.

Anode-grade green coke

Low-sulphur, low-metals green coke supplied as calciner feedstock, where vanadium, nickel and sodium limits govern acceptance as much as sulphur does.

Calcined petroleum coke

Calcined coke for aluminium anode production, and recarburiser grades for steel and foundry use.

03 — Logistics

Shipment and documentation

Bulk parcels moved on standard dry-cargo tonnage, with inspection and documentation handled to the standard a bank and a customs authority will accept.

Shipment and documentation

  • Bulk shipments in Handysize to Panamax tonnage, typically 25,000 – 75,000 MT per parcel
  • Loading at the supplier’s nominated terminal; shipment coordinated with the appointed charterers
  • Independent pre-shipment inspection by SGS, Intertek or CIQ — quality analysis and draft survey
  • Certificate of Analysis, Certificate of Origin, Bill of Lading, weight and packing documentation
  • Delivery to main Chinese ports; other Asian destinations on request
  • Terms quoted FOB, CFR or CIF as the buyer requires
04 — Procedure

Enquiry procedure

A short, deliberate process. It exists so that both sides spend time only on cargoes that can actually be lifted.

  1. Enquiries are handled on a Request for Quotation basis. To issue a firm offer we need the quantity and delivery schedule, the destination port, the target specification, and the registered details of the buying entity.
  2. A firm offer is issued for a stated quantity, delivery window and destination, valid for a defined period and subject to supplier confirmation.
  3. Contracts are executed on standard international terms, with payment by irrevocable Letter of Credit at sight, confirmed by a first-class bank.
  4. Quality and quantity are determined by independent inspection at the load port, and the inspection certificate is final for settlement.

GET does not circulate unsolicited offers and does not work through multi-tier intermediary chains. We deal directly with the end buyer or its appointed procurement agent.

Enquire about a cargo

Send the quantity, destination port and target specification. We will come back with an indicative offer, or tell you plainly that we cannot cover it.
